The Light of PeaceMany waters I have sailed
Throughout the voyage of life
Over waters tranquil
Free of pain and strife
Sometimes tossed in raging storms
Though never left alone
There was a light that beckoned me
toward the shores of home
Always in the distance
This beacon I could see
Giving me direction
As I sailed upon life's sea
My journey is completed now
The tide is drifting in
My vessel moves on gently waves...
Eternity begins My music choices were hand picked from memories of my dad.
"One more day" everytime I hear it I think of him. If I only had one more day to tell him everything I never had the chance to.
"Grandpa" Mom and Dad came to visit us in Kansas one year around 1994~95 and my daughter Ashley had gotten a karoke machine for her birthday. Well she practiced and practiced this song to sing for her grandpa when he got there. And when he heard her sing you could see tears run down his face. After that I think the song was never the same for any of us! I know Ashley tears up now even when she hears it. Grandpa was "the apple of her eye"
"Hero" Well He was and still is my HERO
"Butterfly Kisses" I think every girl thinks of their daddy when they hear this song. Its beautiful and reminds me of him everytime I hear it.
"I'm leaving on a jet plane" I can't tell you how many time I heard my dad sing this song when I was very little. He loved it, and when I was around 3 or 4 my mom worked during the day and my brothers were all in school, so I stayed home with my dad. We would get in the car an drag the beach, seemed like everyday. That song always played on the radio and he would sing it to me. It sure is funny how you remember goofy things like this, but even as I was growing up I always loved that song.
"Kenny Rogers songs", well I always thought my dad looked alot like Kenny Rogers when I was younger. I think he loved all of his songs aswell.
"Lady"Will alway be very dear to me. That was the song my dad choose for our dance at my wedding! The whole dance he sang it to me. That is a memory I will alway cherish!
